WE, HUMANIMALS
Amazing Contemporary Bestiary - 25/03/25 - 04/10/25

The exhibition ‘WE, HUMANIMALS, amazing contemporary bestiary’ is a symbolic and celebratory vision of the animal world, represented by a kaleidoscopic selection of works. WE, HUMANIMALS takes its cue from the title of a work of the same name by Sandro Gorra, a great Milanese artist and advertiser who, through his iconic caricatured illustrations exhibited in the hotel lobby, was able to use animal representation to express human characteristics and conflicts with ingenious irony.

Alice e l'Acqua

Sandro Gorra (Milan 1944) is a multifaceted artist, considered among the best-known Italian creatives in the world of advertising. He has signed famous advertising campaigns in Italy and abroad for Fiat, Chanel, Pepsi, Panasonic, Telecom, Peugeot, Macallan, Monini, Kimbo. Over the years he consolidated ‘Daily Art’, the art of the moment, neo-realist expressionist form that fixes the moment with pictorial and sculptural representations and sculptures depicting social ascents, anxieties of successes, fears of falls. ‘My art is a palindrome story, where the work is composed of the visual and the commentary that concludes it.’

Oneric 2

Martin Lucchini, born in 1997 to a painter mother and musician father, he ‘breathed’ art from his earliest years, thanks also to his contact with the successful painter Luigi Doni from Pisa. In 2020 she approached an innovative artistic technique: ‘String Art’ or ‘Thread Art’, a language with which Lucchini will bring iconic faces and contemporary characters to life, as well as colourful and picturesque animals that emerge from light and dark backgrounds, creating three-dimensional figures.

Ciucero 15

Federico Tolardo was born in Turin in 1983. A professional actor and multifaceted artist, he stands out for his ability to ‘create from nothing’. His artistic vocation was born while observing his carpenter father and developing the ability to transform simple wooden beams into multiple functional objects with character, such as doors, tables or furniture. From this heritage and his passion for geometric lines, the Ciuceri series was born, small anthropomorphic figures representing nostalgia and remembrance.
